All of our meats are antibiotic and hormone free and come from local Canadian farms. Even our kelp comes from Atlantic Canada. Thanks to our nitrogen flash freeze process, once thawed our patties are bloodier than the leading competitors. Our Chicken and Beef Blend does not contain any veggies or kelp to provide an option for dogs with vegetable sensitivities! Since there are no veggies or kelp, it is not a complete diet and you must supplement.
If you are feeding your dog our Chicken variety pack, you do not need to supplement when feeding the Chicken and Beef blend included in that pack, since they are receiving adequate levels of veggies and kelp in the chicken patty and beef patty.
Ruffin’s Choice Raw is a locally sourced, affordable and convenient raw diet. Our patties go through a nitrogen flash freeze process individually, so they spend the least amount of time in the danger zone– when harmful bacteria can form,and so the patties won’t stick together! Ruffin’s Choice Raw looks like meat, and you can see the veggies in each patty! Ruffin’s Choice Raw is a low glycemic formula, low in sugar and features triple ground bone pieces.

To be more specific, our formula reflects a 90-7-3 breakdown. Since we use the whole prey 10% organ is included within the 90% meat + bones. There are 7% veggies with no filler, and an additional 3% organ (liver) to ensure ideal levels of Vitamin A. Where some companies add extra veggies to their formulas, we added the extra liver to bring cats and dogs back to basics with our prey-heavy formula.
